When was the last time you smiled at a stranger? We’ve gotten used to living around each other, not with each other. There’s an “I” everywhere you look, but no “Us”. The Smiley Project is a reminder that connection doesn’t take much, it starts with a single smile. By introducing a “Smiley Rating” in communal spaces, we measure what we’ve been missing: how often people acknowledge each other and small moments of kindness that go a long way. Because the smallest gesture can bring us back to each other.
